Perhaps this is why there is a great rise in depression, sickness and ailments, especially in advanced countries and as compared to 20-30 years ago. Consumerism is the core of our society now, and it is as if the more ‘advanced’ we become, the more disconnected we are with our own true nature – our spiritual being.
